Trellidor Clear Guard is avaiable in a sash window configurationSash windows hark back to Victorian times but Trellidor has thoroughly modern transparent burglar bars to secure them.

Windows that open by sliding up and down vertically in a frame are known as ‘sash' windows. They've been used in homes since the 1600's but are now making a come-back as they're streamlined, elegant, easy to clean and help with ventilation in warm weather. In modern homes however, we also need to take safety into account and Trellidor has a security solution for this lovely window style.

Trellidor Clear Guard security mesh screens can be custom made to match and protect sash windows. These transparent burglar bars are fully framed in aluminium with a stainless steel mesh screen that allows clear views of the outside environment. The frame is secured into the wall, enhancing security and not damaging the sash window frame in any way.

"You can't see the Trellidor Clear Guard units from the outside, so they help provide security without spoiling the outlook of the home. The frame can be powder coated to match the home's interior colour palette, making the security screens completely unobtrusive from the inside as well," said Nick Sacco, Trellidor Clear Guard business development manager.

For additional security, Trellidor Clear Guard sash window security screens have two locking points, one in the middle to secure the bottom sash to the top one, and one at the bottom to lock the entire sash security screen. The top and bottom sashes can work independently of each other to allow for easy cleaning of the window glass and ventilation.

"We can design our Trellidor Clear Guard range to fit almost any door or window style, from French doors and windows to hinged and sliding doors, casement, awning and sliding windows, and fixed panels for doors and windows," said Nick.
