Trellidor opens new Mafikeng franchise
20 May 2010
Trellidor is expanding with the launch of a new franchise in Mafikeng. Franchise owner Jaco van Wyk (snr) has a 10-year history with the company, and is delighted to be running his own Trellidor outlet. “I have a small, experienced team that is customer-centered and by focusing on our local area we are able to put this philosophy into practice,” he said.
The new franchise will offer the full range of Trellidor products. This includes the well known trellis-style security gates for doorways as well as barriers for windows and Cottage Guard burglar guards. Within this group of products there is a security barrier for any opening, covering the full spectrum from very small windows to large verandas.
Jaco and his family have lived and run a business in the Mafikeng area for many years. He was previously a Trellidor distributor, so has a wealth of hands-on experience with the products. This area is now served by its own dedicated team, which is more available for residents needing to fight back against the rise in house, farm and business robberies.
“Being closer to the community enables us to react quickly to emergencies such as break-ins, where people need security urgently,” said Jaco. The region they cover extends from Ramatlhabama in the north to Rooigrond in the south, and Zeerust in the east to Mareetsane in the west.
The team includes Jaco van Wyk (jnr), who takes care of the security consulting side of the business. He also co-ordinates the installation of the barriers once they arrive from the Durban factory. Priscilla Botha and Arlene Graaff run the office and are the first people customers come into contact with. They arrange the appointments for Jaco (jnr) and keep customers informed of the progress of their orders.
“We’re happy to do free security assessments to help local residents make decisions about how best to secure their homes or offices. We’ll look at what exists in the way of security at the premises and suggest a package of products to improve it,” said Jaco (snr). “All it takes is a phone call to our offices and we’ll set up a convenient time for customers to do this.”
Site visits are essential because Trellidor security barriers for doors, windows and other apertures are custom made to fit each individual opening. This ensures a precise fit, which is crucial to the product’s ability to resist attack. “We measure the opening to be secured, specify the correct product, and install a security barrier that has been custom made in our state of the art factory.”
The newfranchise is located at 21 Molopo Road, where a newly updated showroom has been installed so that customers can come in and test the products for themselves. Residents are welcome to phone the team on 018 381 5517 either for advice on security or to make an appointment with Jaco (jnr).GeneralArticlesPress Releases
