Trellidor opens new Milnerton franchise

Trellidor is expanding in the Cape Town area, with the launch of a new franchise in Milnerton. Franchise owner Bruce Smith has a 17-year long history with the company, and is delighted to be running his own Trellidor outlet. "I have a small, experienced team that is customer-centered and by focusing on a smaller area we are able to put this philosophy into practice," he said.

The new franchise was originally part of Trellidor's Cape Town North branch, which provided barrier security to a wide range of suburbs in this region. Milnerton is now served by its own dedicated team of security consultants and installation technicians, who are more available to residents needing to fight back against the rise in house and business robberies. "Being closer to the community enables us to react quickly to emergencies such as break-ins, where people need security quickly," said Bruce.

The team includes Stefan Dreyer, who together with Bruce takes care of the security consulting side of the business. Stefan is well-known in the Milnerton area as he has been consulting for Trellidor here for a number of years. Anette Stals runs the office and is the first person customers come into contact with. She arranges the appointments for the consultants and installers and keeps customers informed of the progress of their orders.

Trellidor installation technicians Mervin Kloppers and his assistant Howard Claassen are professionally trained and very experienced. They fit Trellidor's fixed and sliding barriers as well as Trellidor's Cottage Guard burglar guards, and advise customers on the use and care of their new security barriers at the handover.

"Stefan and I are happy to do free security assessments to help local residents make decisions about how best to secure their homes or offices. We'll look at what exists in the way of security at the premises and suggest a package of products to improve it," said Bruce. "All it takes is a phone call to our offices and we'll set up a convenient time for customers to do this."

Site visits are essential because Trellidor security barriers for doors and windows are custom made to fit each individual opening. This ensures a precise fit, which is crucial to the product's ability to resist attack. "We measure the opening to be secured, specify the correct product, and install a security barrier that has been custom made in our state of the art factory," said Bruce.

The new franchise is currently operating out of the old premises in Montague Gardens, but Bruce is looking for suitable offices in Milnerton. "We will be installing a showroom at the new premises so that residents can come in and test our products for themselves," said Bruce.
