Security checklist helps keep you safe
Trellidor is serious about local residents' security. As the leading brand in the barrier security industry, Johan du Plessis of Roll-a-Fold, Trellidor's Margate franchise owner, provides high quality products and dependable after-sales service. "But we must all take responsibility for our own safety, and we've devised a quick checklist to make it easier for people to do so," said Johan.
TRELLIDOR'S SECURITY CHECKLIST
Entire home checked for weak points that need additional security such as new barriers on doors, windows and in passageways. Don't forget outbuildings.
Alarm tested and in good working order.
All door and security gate locks tested and keys in safe place.
All sliding security gates closed and locked.
Garage doors locked and no automatic gate or garage door controls left lying around.
Shrubs around entrances trimmed so that they don't offer concealment to intruders and garden tidied to look ‘lived in' while residents away.
Lights connected to timers or movement sensors.
Newspapers and other home deliveries cancelled and someone arranged to collect post whenever residents are away.
No cell phones and other small valuables left lying around for opportunistic thieves.
List of emergency numbers near telephone or programmed into mobile phone e.g. local police station, fire station, ambulance service and letting agent's after hours number.
Part of a neighbourhood watch in order to stay informed about dangers in the area.
"We will provide any concerned residents with a free security assessment and help them choose barriers from our range that will be uncompromising in doing their job for many years to come," offered Johan.
